Gripped by His Grace
Law is all about what we do. Grace is all about what He is doing – living in Christ not for Christ.
He doesn’t need us. He wants to walk with us and shine through us. (Acts 17:25)
Philippians 3:12 Jesus Christ has laid hold of me. Have I laid Hold on Him and His purpose?
John 10:28-29 No one can snatch me out of Jesus' hand.
These are the Hands of the One who formed mountains and oceans and breathed the stars into the heavens. (Daily Bread and Psalm 33:6)
Romans 8:39 Nothing can separate me from the love of God.
The One who saved me is the One Who keeps me. He will take me to my heavenly home.
2016 The most dangerous and unsure thing is to live life without God.
Hebrews 10:29-30 After knowing the truth and continuing to sin, trampling the Son of God, disrespecting the blood of the covenant, and insulting the Spirit of grace, there is a dreadful experience when you fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 13:5-6 I will not be intimidated by man or money because Jesus promised to never leave me or forsake me.
Isaiah 49:13-16 God will not forget me. He has a tattoo of my name on His hand.
Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Luke 11:20 Casting out devils is finger work for Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 42:5-9 God has called me and taken hold of my hand. Go will keep me and make me a light. I will be a healer and His instrument in His hand to release those bound in darkness.
Isaiah 42:16-17 The Lord will guide me in unfamiliar paths. He will turn the darkness into light and smooth out the rough places. If I do not trust in idols (myself, my money, my people connections)
Isaiah 42:20 We always have God's attention. Does He have ours?
Matthew 10:27-31 He pays attention to the details of my life and my 'little' prayers.
Isaiah 45:9-12 Does the clay say to the potter, what are you making? You question Me or give Me orders about the work of My Hands?
God expects no complaining on our part, and offers no explanation on His part.
My Utmost for His Highest, 12/18, Chambers
2016
Isaiah 43:18-19 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. Behold I do a new thing! Now it springs forth... I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.
Song of Solomon 8:5 Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on the arm of her Beloved?
