Intro: Diaries, journaling, blogging? FB, Tweets, etc! some people record their thoughts, feelings, and details of life.
When we asked too many questions, David said, "Writing a book? Leave that chapter out."
Thank God He leaves many chapters out of our story when we repent.
1. Rev. 20:11-14 At the white throne judgment the books were opened. Your story will be told for all to hear.
Mt. 12:36 You will give an account for every idle word on judgment day.
2. Ex. 32:32-33 Moses, with the heart of a leader, said, "Blot me out of your book instead of the people. God said each one is responsible for their self.
Rom. 9:1-5 Paul was willing to die for his people, the Jews.
Rom. 5:6-11 Jesus did it. The only One qualified to be a substitution. You don't have to!
3. Heb. 9:27 All have an appointment - once to die and then the judgment.
Heb. 10:17 You sins and your useless acts I will remember no more. 3 times in the Bible. (Heb. 8:12; Jer. 31:34) Correction tape, white out, back space, delete! Angels are busy when you repent. The eraser is gone before the pencil is finished.
Rom. 4:7-8 Blessed is the person who sins are forgiven and removed.
Justification - just as if I never sinned.
4. You cannot live today on the glory of yesterday.
You cannot live today off the success of someone else, you have to get some for yourself. (You can be encouraged by the success of others.)
You can't live in the shadow of yesterday's failures.
5. What is the difference between hiccups and the flu? It is like the difference between a mistake, a sin, and habitual sin.
Jn. 8:34 He that sins is the slave of sin. The Son sets you free.
Rom. 6:15-18 slave to sin (bondage under the devil) or slave to righteousness (freedom in Christ)?
John 3:8-9 If your new behavior looks like your old behavior, you are probably not born again.
You might be a convert to religion. If the new life looks like the old life, you probably do not have eternal life.
Mt. 7:15-20 Bad tree - bad fruit. Good tree - good fruit. esp. vs. 18
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

6. 2 Cor. 5:6-10 Judgment seat of Christ (Bema) reward or lost of reward according to your faithfulness. It is not a place of retribution or punishment. Paul referenced athletics in several passages. The bema was the place where a crown of olive leaves was placed on the winner of a contest.
Rev. 22:12 Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.
Dan. 12:1-3 Everyone whose name is written in the book of life will be raised from the dead. They will shine like the brightness of heaven and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.
